The artist Emiliano Marinucci was always a Monteverdi enthusiast. Last year, with the 450th anniversary of his birth, he started a trip inside the places were he lived, dwelled and composed. The idea was to make a map, a visual one, of the sounds of his music. To interpretate the way his mind would design the landscape, the buildings, the feelings altogether in music. A long line of sunshine, the distant fog, the rush in poplars along the Po became the voices interacting in a madrigal. Looking at the greenish waters under the castle in Mantova designing spirals in algae the mind rushes to the low voices of Parlo, miser o taccio, developing, swirling, going under. It’as a movement, a spiral giong downward and in darkness.
This week we will start a crowdfunding campaign for the book that will feature not only two volumes ina box set, but also two cds by label Tactus.
